Guns N' Hoses

Jacksonville’s Guns N’ Hoses event is put on by the Fraternal Order of Police Foundation and is our largest fundraiser of the year. The first event took place in 1999. Fight night is the one time of the year when our city’s first responders become rivals, vying for the title and bragging rights.

For Charity

The boxers, who work side-by-side on a daily basis, have this once a year rivalry to raise money for charity. They have raised more than 1.6 million dollars for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the FOP Foundation, which gives to several local charities.

The Fighters

The firefighters and police officers are all amateur boxers who began training for the fights in January. The matches consist of three one-minute rounds. Fighters will be in full pads and safety equipment. Throughout the years, each side has claimed the title numerous times. The winner receives the coveted title belt that they display for the year.
